Accessing your child's classes is really quite simple!
The classes are accessed via a link to a meeting on the online conferencing app Zoom, while payment processing and communication is accessed via the amazing Care.com website.
Here is a step by step on how to sign your child up for classes, and access the classes once you do!
Step 1: Choose the class you are interested in enrolling your child in. The current class listings can be found here.
Step 2: Once on the page for your chosen class, click on the day and time that works best with your schedule.
You will then be redirected to the purchase page for the specific class you chose (The purchase page is hosted on the website Care.com)
Step 3: Sign up for a Care.com account (or log in if you already have an account) and click "Purchase," once logged in. Your child's spot will then be reserved in the class. (For the longer classes, there are monthly payment options! Make sure you choose the option that works best for your family.)
Step 4: Once payment is complete, you will receive an email with the link to the Zoom class meeting. Please save this email, as this is the link you will use to access your child's class each week.**
That's it! Each week, make sure your child has the necessary materials, and have them set up in a comfortable environment with minimal distractions. Click the Zoom link from the device of your choosing, and we are well on our way to our musical adventures!
Each class also has a Google Classroom that you can access any time after your purchase. You will receive a link to the Google Classroom for your child's class via email the day of your child's first class meeting.
Included in the classroom is a

recordings of the songs we sing in the class, and
access to the listening example playlists on the streaming platform of your choice.

(The Soulful Solfège classes will also have the recipes for the optional culinary activities.)
You may find that downloading the Google Classroom app makes accessing your child's class easier than clicking the link each week via email. You can download the Google Classroom app below:
Please note that if you sign up for our Google Classroom, your Google profile image and name will be listed on the class roster tab. Students cannot contact each other, but they can view the first and last names and profile thumbnail of all of the "students" in the class. The "students" listed are the caregivers who have children enrolled, and also children who have been added separately. (See below)
Some caregivers of older students prefer the Google Classroom option, as it allows their child the independence to access their class on their own each week on their own device. If you would like to add your child's Google account to the classroom for their class, then please fill out this form.
Please note that your child's Google profile image and name will be listed on the class roster tab if they are added to the Google Classroom. The "students" on the class roster is comprised of the caregivers who have children enrolled in the class, as well as any children whose accounts have been added separately. "Students" can only view the first and last names and profile picture of the other "students" in the class, but cannot contact each other, or view any other information about the other "students."
