Attendance Policy
for
Online Classes
CAREGIVER INVOLVEMENT
These classes are designed for children to easily participate without the need for involvement from their caregiver. Caregivers are encouraged to remain nearby, however I ask that the grownup station themselves outside the frame of what is captured by their wee folk's camera. This helps with the flow of class, and also allows the wee folk to bond and connect with one another in a genuine way.
Of course you are encouraged to participate off screen if you do remain nearby. I know the activities can be infectious! Thank you for understanding, grown folk!

SHARING DEVICES
We often have impromptu visits from little brothers or sisters on screen, and we love this! Every student actively participating in the class, however, must be enrolled (don't forget that multiple students from the same household get a 50% discount!)
If a family has multiple children enrolled in the same class, it is up to the discretion of the caregiver whether the children use the same device or separate devices. I know that sharing a device can save precious bandwidth, so the wee folk are absolutely permitted to share the same device for the live class. I also know that sometimes they do have a better experience when on different devices (and even in separate rooms if need be!) For this reason, each class meeting is up to the discretion of the caregiver whether the wee folk share a device, or use separate device. Both options are perfectly fine by me!

MISSED/CANCELLED CLASSES
Every child is a valued member of our online community, and their presence is an important part of the class experience. I look forward to seeing your sweet wee folk each week and I hope your child is present for each and every class meeting, but should they need to miss a class, there are a couple options available to you.
1) View the Class Recording
I record all of our classes to the Zoom© cloud and send a link to these recordings via email after each class meeting. Only parents of children enrolled in that particular class are sent this private link, and the link expires 30 days after the last class meeting. If your child must miss a class due to illness or other reason, you are welcome to watch the video recording with your child so that they can still participate.* I will even still greet them in the beginning of the video as if they are there for the live class!
*Please note that our wee folk's privacy is of utmost importance. For this reason, prior to registration all caregivers are required to consent to NOT share this video recording with any outside party via email, social media, screenshot or otherwise. Thank you for respecting the privacy of our beloved wee folk, friends!
2) Transfer to Another Section for That Week
If another day/time the class is offered is convenient for a makeup class, then you are welcome to request a transfer for your child for that week, as long as the requested class is not full. Your child will then be transferred back to the original reservation for the remainder of the session.**
**Transfer requests must be received at least 24 hours before the missed class.
If I must cancel class for whatever reason, then I will email the caregivers directly to schedule a makeup class. If a convenient day/time for a makeup class cannot be scheduled, then I will teach a "phantom class" in which I record myself teaching the class to the students and send a recording to the caregivers.
