Navigating Online Classes

Accessing your child's classes is really quite simple! 

The classes are accessed via a link to a meeting on the online conferencing app Zoom, while payment processing and communication is accessed via the amazing Care.com website. 

Here is a step by step on how to sign your child up for classes,
​and access the classes once you do!

Step 1: Choose the class you are interested in enrolling your child in.  The current class listings can be found here.

Step 2: Once on the page for your chosen class, click on the day and time that works best with your schedule​.

You will then be redirected to the purchase page for the specific class you chose
(The purchase page is hosted on the website Care.com)

Step 3: Sign up for a Care.com account (or log in if you already have an account) and click "Purchase," once logged in.  Your child's spot will then be reserved in the class.
(For the longer classes, there are monthly payment options!  Make sure you choose the option that works best for your family.)

Step 4: Once payment is complete, you will receive an email with the link to the Zoom class meeting.  Please save this email, as this is the link you will use to access your child's class each week.**

That's it! 
​Each week, make sure your child has the necessary materials, and have them set up in a comfortable environment with minimal distractions.  Click the Zoom link from the device of your choosing, and we are well on our way to our musical adventures!

**OPTIONAL

Each class also has a Classroom to make access to all of your child's class components easy and concise!  You will receive a link to a pdf file of the Classroom for your child's class via email the day of your child's first class meeting.

Included in the classroom is a

• link to the Zoom meeting
• recordings of the songs we sing in the class
• access to a playlist of the listening examples on the streaming platform of your choice. 
• printable pdf files of any printouts, coloring pages, etc. for the class
• (The Soulful Solfège classes will also have solfa video examples as well as the recipes for the optional culinary activities.)

You can easily download the classroom and save it to either your desktop or homescreen to make accessing your child's class incredibly simple!  (Caregivers of older students also appreciate this option to allow for their child to access their class and its components independently. 😊)
